The school needed new more effective car parking space to ease the car parking in the residential streets. The car park also needed to be built within the summer break time frame, with the design factoring the special needs of the school.
Project description: Henderson & Taylor, used our Early Contractor involvment to design and build the car park and surrounding footpaths and roads to improve the flow of traffic and parking availability for Castedon school. The project was completed in budget and on time for the school to re-open in September with the new car park, roads and footpaths in place.
Ockendon School approached H&T to supply two netball courts and access road to the courts. We responded within the week, meeting with the head teacher to design and build the new courts and road. The project was underway as soon as the client requested, we were able to mobilise experienced staff to undertake the project.
Project description: The land around the proposed court area and access road was reprofiled to bring it up to level with the existing car park and sports facilities. The base layers were then put in place, then the tarmac and finally the British standard markings and measurments for two netball courts.
