Early Contractor Involvement
Henderson & Taylor have provided practical support on numerous projects on an Early Contractor Involvement basis.
This service is provided by our own management team and staff in support of our range of site based services. This will normally involve the development of project designs, risk management, programming, method statements and budgeting. Liaison with regulators and other project stakeholders is also carried out.
This process is particularly relevant to schools; it can save time, money and most importantly Management energy by working with us from the start. We don’t waste time by sending Quantity Surveyors to small – medium sized jobs, not when supervisors and gangers have both the knowledge and experience to set out and price a job on site can do the work. The process is designed to allow you to spend your time doing your job with the minimum disruption to your schedule, as we go to all lengths to make it successful for all those involved. We are confident in the ability of our supervisors and Gangers who are the driving force behind our repeat business. The involvement of ECI has been successful every time we have partnered with a client in completing a scheme and has always led to repeat business. Recent projects undertaken on an ECI basis have brought the following benefits;
- Development of a fully detailed method statement to demonstrate safe remediation of sensitive development project.
- Detailed modelling, programming and resourcing of complex earthworks on highway widening projects has managed associated project risks and provided a high degree of project duration and out-turn cost certainty. This had led to a successful tender return for our client, a successful project and repeat business.
